Terms of services

This document is an electronic record published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. It does not require any physical or digital signature. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.mavenmint.in (the “Website”) and any purchase you make through it, online or at a MavenMint retail store, operated by MavenMint Trading Private Limited (“MavenMint”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Website, placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to use this Website or place an order. Persons who are incompetent to contract within the meaning of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 — including minors, un-discharged insolvents, and persons of unsound mind — are not eligible to use or access the Website. By using the Website, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Account Registration

You may be required to create an account to place an order. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep such information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately at care@mavenmint.in if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Account Termination & Suspension

MavenMint reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Website at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, if we believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal activity, or acted in a manner harmful to other users, third parties, or MavenMint. Upon termination, your right to use the Website ceases immediately. Any pending orders at the time of termination will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and any amounts owed to you will be refunded in accordance with our Returns, Exchange & Customer Policies.

4. Products, Pricing & Accuracy

All product descriptions, images, weights, and prices are as accurate as possible; however, minor variations in metal weight, gemstone size/placement, and colour (due to screen display settings) may occur and are not considered defects.
Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
MavenMint reserves the right to correct pricing or product errors, modify prices, and discontinue products at any time without prior notice
In case of a pricing error on the Website, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund

5. Orders & Order Acceptance

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is confirmed only once you receive an order confirmation email or WhatsApp message from us. MavenMint reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, unauthorised or illegal activity, or unavailability of stock. In such cases, any amount paid will be refunded in full.

6. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. For certain products, MavenMint may offer a partial payment option (advance payment at the time of order, with the balance payable before or at delivery); the applicable terms will be displayed at checkout. MavenMint does not store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials.

While MavenMint uses secure, industry-standard payment gateways, MavenMint and its Website shall not be responsible for any unauthorised or fraudulent use of any credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, or other payment instrument, and shall have no liability to the cardholder, any bank, or payment gateway for such unauthorised or fraudulent use.

7. KYC for High-Value Purchases

For purchases exceeding ₹2,00,000 in a single day, you will be required to submit a copy of your PAN card (or, for non-Indian customers, a valid passport) before the order is processed, in accordance with applicable law. MavenMint may also be required to disclose customer and transaction information to government or regulatory authorities where mandated under applicable law, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and rules governing the sale of jewellery.

8. Identity Verification at Retail Stores

For purchases made at a MavenMint retail store, customers may be required to furnish a valid government-issued ID proof to establish identity at the time of delivery. Any credit or debit card purchase exceeding ₹50,000 at a retail store will require a government-issued ID proof. This requirement does not apply to online orders, where identity verification (where applicable, such as for high-value purchases under Section 7) is conducted digitally at checkout.

9. Customisation Policy

For customised or made-to-order pieces, the following terms apply:

A minimum of 50% of the order value must be paid at the time of placing the order
The final manufactured product may show a variation of up to ±15% in metal or diamond weight from the listed specification
Delivery dates for customised products are estimates and may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control.
In the event of cancellation of a customised order, a 30% deduction will be applied to the advance amount paid before the balance is refunded.

10. Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

Returns, exchanges, and our lifetime exchange programme (MintSwap) are governed by our Returns, Exchange & Customer Policies, available on our website, which form part of these Terms by reference. MavenMint does not currently operate a separate buyback programme.

11. Lab-Grown Diamond Certification

Jewellery featuring lab-grown diamonds is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity confirming the diamond’s lab-grown origin and specifications. We recommend retaining this certificate for future reference, exchange, or warranty purposes.

12. Gift Cards & Digital Wallets

MavenMint may, from time to time, offer gift cards or digital wallet credit as a mode of payment or redemption. Orders paid for, in whole or in part, using a gift card or digital wallet credit will be eligible for exchange only; such amounts are not eligible for refund to a bank account or payment instrument. Where no exchange is opted for, the value will be credited back to the customer’s MavenMint wallet for future use.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including the MavenMint name, logo, product designs, photographs, graphics, and text — is the property of MavenMint or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content from this Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

14. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, scrape or harvest data, or interfere with the Website’s functioning
Post or transmit any abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringing content
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

15. User-Generated Content

If you submit reviews, photos, or other content to us (including for our Loyalty Programme or social media), you grant MavenMint a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display such content for marketing and promotional purposes, with appropriate credit where feasible.

16. Third-Party Links & Services

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (such as Shopify, Razorpay, Zoho, Meta, Google, and our logistics partners). MavenMint is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party, and your use of such third-party services is at your own discretion and risk.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable consumer protection law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MavenMint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or products purchased, except in cases of proven negligence, defect, or wilful default on our part. Nothing in this clause limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MavenMint, its directors, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Website.

19. Force Majeure

MavenMint shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, courier disruptions, government action, cyberattacks, internet outages, or other events of force majeure.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with MavenMint’s Privacy Policy and Returns, Exchange & Customer Policies (each as updated from time to time and available on the Website), constitute the entire agreement between you and MavenMint with respect to your use of the Website and any purchases made through it. They supersede all prior communications, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any other document, these Terms shall prevail unless expressly stated otherwise.

21. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be addressed through our grievance redressal mechanism (Section 22). If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat and venue of arbitration in Mumbai, India, and proceedings conducted in English. Subject to the above, the courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days of receipt, in accordance with applicable law.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

24. Changes to These Terms

MavenMint reserves the right to change, modify, alter, replace, or substitute any or all of these Terms at any time, without prior notice. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the Website after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
